E-vignette Romania (Rovinieta)
Romania uses a digital vignette system called Rovinieta for toll collection on motorways and expressways. The electronic vignette is linked to your vehicle registration number and can be purchased online instantly. Vignettes are required for all vehicles with four or more wheels. Motorcycles are exempt from the vignette requirement.

Motorcycles
Two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) do not need a vignette in Romania.
Persons with Disabilities
Vehicles owned by persons with disabilities may be exempt from vignette fees.
State Services
Vehicles of state services, emergency services, and military are exempt.
The fine for using toll roads without a valid electronic vignette ranges from 250 RON to 11,890 RON (approx. €50 - €2390).
