The Rules That Change What You Pay
Distance is the default. Three published rules can override it, and they’re worth knowing before you’re surprised by a bill.
No entry record. If the system can’t tell where you joined, you’re charged the longest-distance fare for the exit you used. That’s why a faulty plate reading can produce a bill that looks wrong.
U-turns. Entering and leaving at the same junction counts as a U-turn, and it’s also charged at the longest-distance rate.
